Korean MMOs are a dying breed. That style of killing the same mobs over and over again to level efficiently has fizzled out ever since World of Warcraft popularized the theme park questing MMO style of progression. However, the fact that they're so different means it still has its fans even through all its repetition. That's why most of them are still alive and kicking after all these years. Mabinogi is one of them.
To install Mabinogi, make sure you have Steam installed then head on over to this link to install the game.
The biggest draw to this game is its anime-styled art, its character customization, and its strategic combat system. If you're not into combat, you can also spend time playing the market, building your own homestead, performing music, socializing, doing part-time jobs, and improving various life skills. If you like the more traditional adventuring, then this game also features the usual dungeons, raids, field bosses, PvP, guild battles, and more. There is also a story, which helps build the world of Mabinogi and has you exploring many continents that all have unique areas.
The level of your character actually doesn't matter that much - you can reset your character back to the first level whenever you want and you'll retain all the skill ranks and stats given from those previously ranked skills and also de-ages your character to really emphasize the rebirth part.
All in all, Mabinogi is a fine example of a type of MMO that is now gone. If you like that style, you should give it a shot.
