Point and click adventure games generally sprawling and revolving around complex puzzles with multiple stages, and well as good character writing. Of course, Flash games are different. While the Monkey Go Happy series is known for short, quick, and simple puzzles, there clearly was some potential for bigger and more complex puzzles. Monkey Go Happy Sci-Fi is a refinement and expansion on the formula.

The size of the levels is somewhere in between the massive ones featured in Monkey Go Happy Mini Monkeys, and the main series. While they're not a massive interlocked maze of screens, you do have to navigate between a couple of screens to find the solution, making it more expansive than the original series. There are also multiple levels for you to traverse, going through a surprisingly large variety of environments.

The puzzles are more complex than the original series, but just slightly. It's still obvious what items you have to interact with and where they go. There is also a high score system based on the number of clicks and the time it takes you to finish each level.

All in all, Monkey Go Happy Sci-Fi is a generally straightforward point and click game that expands on the formula that made the original series so popular.
