Based on the Forgotten Realms city of Neverwinter, the game Neverwinter is a free to play massively multiplayer online role playing game that places players in an enormous city of Chaos after the disappearance of the Last Lord of Neverwinter.

Players can play as one of six different Dungeons & Dragons based classes and form groups of up to five players in order to take the fight to the enemy. This includes an army of skeletons, liches and dracoliches. The players main "goal" is to investigate the Sect Crown of Neverwinter in order to figure out what the skeletons and other enemies are looking for.

The story behind the game begins with the Lich Queen Valindra, when she attacks soldiers of New Neverwinter. Her attacks result in the Battle of the Bridge. Many soldiers reveal their own take on the battle with a mutual agreement that the battle was going badly for Valindra until the blue dragon appeared and helped her escape.

After a series of catastrophic events which almost completely destroyed it, the city of Neverwinter is under attack from all sides. In order to protect the city once and for all, heroes must arise and fight through death-assuring dungeons and open world brawls with unbalancing foes.
