City and Theme Park building simulation games were pretty popular back in the 2000s, with a couple of them popping up every year. However, restaurant simulators were pretty rare, and even today, there aren't many games where you focus on serving the customers. It's a different story in Flash games, though. The Papa franchise has tons of entries that span a ton of different food types. Let's look at Papa's Cheeseria.
To play Papa's Cheeseria, simply run it with whatever SWF player you have.
This series proves once again that even a small change to the normal gameplay loop completely changes the flow of the game. Grilled Cheese is unique in the series in that you have to cook it after you've finished adding all the meats and toppings. On top of that, you need to cook fries as well for the customer. With two long cooking sequences, that makes time management a lot more important than in other series, as well as forcing you to remember which order you're preparing your meals, as there is likely going to be a massive amount of orders queued up offscreen on the last station.
Outside of that, the game is relatively the same except for the ads in between each day transition, which don't really get in the way but are still annoying.
All in all, Papa's Cheeseria is a fascinating look at the series at how small changes to a formula can result in a vastly different experience.
