Point and Click games proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. There are a ton of flash studios that made point-and-click adventure games, and one of them was Genie Fun Games. Let's take a look at one of their games, The Room Escape.
To play The Room Escape, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
First thing to note is that this studio shares a lot of the DNA of their games with the games of another studio. Just like their peer, the English and grammar is quite broken, but thankfully, there's not that much English to be broken. It's just a short prologue blurb introducing the setup. In this entry, you've been trapped in a room by a mysterious figure and need to find a way out.
The sound design is also similar to a lot of other flash games. The background is generally high quality and usually enhances the experience. However, the sound effects are jarringly low quality in comparison and detract from the experience, which makes it net neutral.
However, the gameplay is very solid. Each puzzle is designed very competently and there's very little pixel hunting involved, which is something that some professionally made point and click games can't say.
All in all, if you're a fan of point-and-click games, then The Room Escape is very worthy of your time. You won't regret your choice if you give this game a shot.
