Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Mateusz Skutnik is one of the best creators of the genre. Less known is that he's actually part of a team - Pastel Games - and that they assisted in many of his best-known games. He in turn has contributed to their work, with one of them being the Tortuga series. Let's look at Tortuga Episode 3.

To play Tortuga Episode 3, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.

Unfortunately, this entry steps back from the other entries in a few ways. One of them is the resolution of the background. Even at its default resolution, it feels like it's incredibly out of focus. The game has also transitioned from a simple escape game to a more expansive and full-blown adventure game. This actually makes it a lot more frustrating to play, as there's now a ton of backtracking you have to do to find the solutions to the puzzles. It's actually more frustrating than it is fun, which is incredibly unfortunate.

Gameplay-wise, it's pretty much the same as every other Skutnik offering. There's some fairly clever puzzles, but it's overall pretty easy and fairly short. There's no real hurdles you need to get over.

All in all, if you're a fan of Skutnik's work, you should definitely give Tortuga Episode 3 a download.
