Flash games were the precursors to many parts of the gaming industry today. The creativity and willingness to experiment has translated over to the indie games industry, many design elements that are used in AAA games today were first observed in flash games, and the casual nature of many flash games has translated over to the mobile game industry. Infectonator Christmas Edition is a fun twist on the series that doesn't innovate but highlights just how addictive the main gameplay loop is anyways.

To install Infectonator Christmas Edition, simply run the file in whatever SWF player you have.

The game is effectively a reskin to the first Infectonator game. You control a zombie virus that you can deploy once a level with a click. It will then spread out in the cardinal directions and infect any civilian it hits and turn them into zombies. These zombies will then lumber around and target any other civilians, who will then start panicking and running around. The zombies will attack and infect anybody they come across, but they are balanced by their low lifespan and speed. You have to then collect coins from their dead bodies to upgrade your zombies.

The reskin comes into play with how everything is Christmas themed. The speech bubbles now all reference Christmas and everything just generally has a more lighthearted feeling to it.

All in all, if you like the franchise, there's no reason not to give Infectonator Christmas Edition a shot.
