Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. Some used the medium to tell incredible stories. One of these series was Reisen. Let's look at one of the entries: SPQR Ep. 5.
To play SPQR Ep. 5, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
The gameplay is rather simple. It's very straightforward and is reminiscent of pretty much every single point and click adventure game ever made. You click to move around, click on items to interact with them, and use them to eventually progress. Gameplay wise, there is nothing special.
The story is quite unique. It follows in the steps of history with the names just slightly altered, with Caesar naming Octavius and Antonius being incredibly unhappy about it. Octavius asks Jitter for help in securing power, and she needs to pick sides in the resulting power struggle. Those who know Roman history will probably know how this goes down, but Jitter's character arc is still compelling to watch.
All in all, if you're a fan of point-and-click games, then SPQR Ep. 5 is very worthy of your time. You won't regret your choice if you give this game a shot.
