Hitman Contracts Review
Last Updated: 2012-10-10 03:03:09
A stealth video game that was developed by IO Interactive, Hitman: Contracts is the third installment of the Hitman video game series. The game features recreations of four levels from Hitman: Codename 47 and the storyline interwines between two missions in its sequel, Hitman: Blood Money. The game was originally release on April 20, 2004 in North America.
In this release of Hitman, the gameplay centers around the Agent 47, a hitman that has been sent to various locations to assassinate targets and the main, controllable character in the Hitman franchise. The game features an array of weapons from kitchen knives to machine guns. The game encourages the player to be stealthy, but players are able to choose their approach during every mission from stealth to loud and violent.
You are rating by your performance during each mission while you proceed through the storyline with the main objective to get the highest peformance rating possible. With Contracts, the Hitman franchise continues the trend of context sensitive actions, meaning that one button is used for multiple situations for multiple uses with in the game.
Disguises can be used with in the game as well. They are either found in the environment of each mission or taken from the bodies of the NPCs. Depending on the disguise you are wearing, you may then access restricted areas with in each level. You can also draw suspicion by not being equipped with similar weapons as other guards (assuming you are disguised in a guard outfit) with in the level you are in.
With many new features added to the game, Hitman: Contracts continues its fun, stealthy gameplay in this installment of the game.
