Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. However, some go a step beyond and try to emulate the story heavy point-and-click games. One of them is Vortex Point. Let's look at Vortex Point 3: Lake Monsters.
To play Vortex Point 3: Lake Monsters, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
This game barely has any improvements over the last game in terms of presentation. The voice acting quality has risen in comparison, but only ever so slightly. Other than that, though, this game is still overreaching in scope and would do much better with just text boxes.
The story is also a little bit more trite than the last entry too. Instead of some exciting paranormal murder mystery, you instead have to investigate a monster in a lake, which is...a lot more normal than the other entry. It's still interesting to unravel, but less so than the last entry.
All in all, if you're a fan of point and click games, then you're missing out if you don't give this game a shot. Vortex Point 3: Lake Monsters is still interesting despite its own shortcomings.
