Point and click games used to be all the craze until around the 2010s. Now, they're usually relegated to mid size productions or simple indie titles. The genre also proved incredibly popular among flash game creators, due to the relatively simple planning and programming that goes into such a game. However, some go a step beyond and try to emulate the story heavy point-and-click games. One of them is Vortex Point. Let's look at Vortex Point 4: The Golem.
To play Vortex Point 4: The Golem, just run it with whatever SWF player you have.
The presentation has actually received an upgrade - animations are much smoother and lifelike than the last entry. The voice acting still has insanely low audio quality, but they're finally getting the hang of delivering their lines. The backgrounds look much improved and there is now a surprisingly beautiful
The writing is still the same as ever. Actually incredibly interesting, but also with a ton of awkwardly written dialogue. The gameplay is upgraded, with some fairly engaging minigames here and there. The game is also a lot more straightforward, which is a plus, as it cuts down on mindless wandering.
All in all, if you're a fan of point and click games, then you're missing out if you don't give this game a shot. Vortex Point 4: The Golem is still interesting despite its own shortcomings.
